RX01/RX02

This document is the second edition (September 1981) of the Digital Equipment Corporation pocket service guide for the RX01 and RX02 disk drive subsystems. It provides field service personnel with concise information on:

• Troubleshooting: Includes general troubleshooting, charts, power supply voltage checks, and details on various subsystems (RX8/RX28, RX11/RXV11, RX211/RXV21) such as bootstrapping, register information, and interface details.
• Mechanical Servicing: Provides procedures for removing and replacing disk drive assemblies, controller boards, read/write boards, power supplies, door handles, and read/write heads.
• Alignment and Adjustment: Covers maintenance tasks such as handle latch wire adjustment, drive belt and motor pulley alignment, and head gap adjustment.
