SA7x/6000 Cabinet Series

This document, the third revision from September 1992, is intended for Digital Services engineers. It details the procedure for installing SA70-LK/MK, SA71-NK/PK, SA72-NK/PK, and SA73-NK/PK storage enclosures as embedded storage within an existing VAX 6000-series processor cabinet. The manual covers site preparation, including necessary safety and ESD precautions, the unpacking of upgrade components, the mechanical installation of enclosure rails and chassis retainers, the proper cabling of the enclosure, and subsequent power-up procedures. It also provides guidance on installing additional RA7x disk drives and configuring drive unit numbers.
