This notice clarifies that two types of DDS media cartridge shells (Type A and Type B) are currently in the market. While Type B was ergonomically designed for manual handling, it does not perform as reliably as the Type A shell when used in the TLZ6L Autoloader. Consequently, manufacturers are expected to phase out the Type B design. The document also provides ordering information for Digital's certified 1.3GB and 2.0GB DDS cartridges.
