SA705 Storage Array Family

This document is the official user guide for the SA705 storage array, a multi-spindle cabinet system designed for rapid access storage. The guide is divided into six chapters and three appendices, covering the following:

• Introduction: An overview of the SA705 storage array, which houses up to four SA70R enclosures, each containing four removable RA70-RK disk drives.
• Operation: Detailed instructions on using the front panel switches and indicators on the SA70R enclosure, managing the removable canisters, and setting drive unit numbers.
• Handling: Best practices for transporting and storing the RA70-RK removable disk drives, including environmental stabilization requirements.
• Troubleshooting: Procedures for verifying the status of the enclosure and recovering from common fault conditions.
• Installation: Step-by-step guides for installing, de-installing, and repacking the SA705 system, including site preparation and safety considerations.
• Additional Installations: Instructions for installing additional SA70R enclosures into an existing SA705 cabinet.

It also contains appendices with environmental stabilization tables and comprehensive site preparation specifications (physical, environmental, and power requirements) for both the SA705 cabinet and the SA70R enclosure.
