DIGITAL MultiSwitch 612EX Quick Start

This document provides instructions for installing and configuring the DIGITAL MultiSwitch 612EX module. It covers three main areas:

• Installation: Procedures for installing the module into different system environments, specifically the DIGITAL MultiSwitch 600 (Stack Station/Stack Director) and the DEChub 900 MultiSwitch. This includes steps for installing optional Mod-MAC modules, mounting the unit, and managing power requirements.
• Cabling: Guidelines for connecting 10BaseFL, 100BaseFX, 100BaseTX, and 10BaseT ports, including proper use of straight-through versus crossover cables for the 100BaseTX ports.
• Configuration: Steps for connecting a terminal to the setup port (including required baud rate settings) and navigating the installation menu or utilizing the clearVISN network management software to configure the module.
