This document provides critical instructions for system managers using RZ74E Intelligent Storage Elements (ISEs) within an R400X enclosure. Because RZ74E drives consume significantly more power during their 20-second spin-up cycle than during normal operation, simultaneously starting six or more drives can overload the enclosure's power supply and cause a shutdown. Consequently, the document mandates that RZ74E ISEs be mounted (spun up) individually to distribute the power load. This constraint only applies during the initial spin-up phase.
