Overview of HIST012
HIST012 is a software routine designed to perform interspike interval plotting on a PDP-12A computer system. It is part of the DECUS Program Library (DECUS No. 12-15).
Key Features
- Discrimination: Uses an adjustable threshold to filter out baseline noise and specific spike durations (shorter than 500 µs or longer than 2.1 ms).
- Data Handling: Capable of counting a selected limit of spikes.
- Diagnostics: Provides sampling diagnostics, total spike count, average input frequency, and total sampling time.
- Visualization: Outputs data as a scattergram or histogram with adjustable horizontal intervals (0.0 to 1.6 seconds) and vertical scaling.
- Operation: Requires the PDP-8 Floating Point Package 2 (FPP2) to run within the DIAL environment.
