Quanat 1

QUANAT 1 is a conversational display subroutine for the LAP6 system, developed at Weston Observatory in 1971. It allows for the display of up to eight lines of alphanumeric text with a limit of 17 characters per line. The subroutine uses question marks as placeholders for operator keyboard input, supports single-character deletion, and automatically centers displayed text vertically. It requires 376 octal memory locations and makes use of index registers 15, 16, and 17.
