PIP-1600

This document describes PIP-1600, a utility for the DECUS Program Library designed to work with DIAL tapes that use the 1600-block LINCtape format. It addresses the limitation of existing software that could not store files above block 777 (octal). PIP-1600 provides facilities for source and binary file transfer, zeroing the DIAL index, and duplicating entire units. It also includes specific modifications to MILDRED and QANDA for compatibility and discusses its integration with DIAL-MS systems.
