Serchpro

This document describes "SERCHPRO," a research utility program designed for use with the LAP6-DIAL operating system on DEC hardware. The program provides a method to search LINCtape media (units 1 or 2) after the index area (blocks 346, 347) to locate and verify the existence of file header blocks. Once found, SERCHPRO displays relevant file details, including the binary filename, unit number, block number, mode (LINC or PDP), start address, and memory locations. It includes source code in the LAP6-DIAL language and provides a command interface using control-key sequences for restarting and controlling program output.
