FFEAESIM

This document describes the FFEAESIM program, an EAE-simulator designed for PDP-12 users to execute the Fast Fourier Transform program (FFTD) on hardware lacking the EAE-option.

Key features include: * Functionality: Provides software routines that simulate EAE instructions, including MQ, DVI, MUY, SHL, ASR, LSR, and MQA. * Performance: Increases transformation time by approximately 6.5 times compared to the EAE-option, taking about 30 seconds for 1024 values. * Implementation: Integrates a modified version of the 'Digital-8-17-U' simulation routines and a patch for the FFTD binary. * Usage: Requires specific loading procedures using DIAL-MS, with notes on maintaining correct program order and L-mode usage to preserve self-starting capabilities.
