An On-Line FOCAL-12 Program for Auto-Analyzers

This document describes a data acquisition and reduction system for auto-analyzers using a PDP-12A computer. The software, written in a modified version of FOCAL-12, interfaces with the auto-analyzer through a retransmitting slidewire on the spectrophotometer recorder. The system automatically processes peak detection and absorbance calculations, including baseline corrections based on slope calculations. The program manages user input via teletype, handles data storage on magnetic tape, and provides instructions for operation and system sequencing.
