This document describes the AVERAGER program (DECUS No. 12-84), a software tool developed for the analysis of slow neural potentials. The program allows for the simultaneous averaging of five channels of data, with features including a variable number of sweeps (00-99), variable sampling time, and a variable number of points. It also supports selecting specific trials for averaging based on a preselected sequence entered via keyboard or paper tape.
The program is operated through single-letter commands: * A: Exit to the average routine to start processing. * C: Input a code character to manage trial selection. * I: Input an interrogation list to define which trials to average. * T: Store channel data to LINC tape. * 1–5: Display the average for the corresponding channel on the scope. * D: Exit to the DIAL-MS monitor. * Rubout: Terminates input or returns to the display routine.
