PDP-8 to PDP-12 Conversion

This document describes the PDP8TO12 utility program, which addresses a compatibility issue between PDP-8 and PDP-12 systems. In most PDP-8 software, a linefeed character follows each carriage return. Because the PDP-12 treats the linefeed as a specific monitor command trigger, this existing software becomes unusable. The utility program scans the PDP-8 source tape and reformats it, making the resulting paper tape compatible with the PDP-12 system. The document includes basic operational instructions and the complete source code listing.
