The W708 is a hardware module designed to enhance Teletype and data communication systems that utilize the W706 and W707 modules. It features several key functional capabilities:

• Spike Eliminator: Provides one-half unit start pulse-noise rejection for noisy lines.
• Wait: Enables half-duplex operation by holding W707 transmission while the W706 receives data.
• Clear Flag Converter: Facilitates clearing the W706 flag in two distinct modes during half-duplex operation.
• Single Clock Converter: Optimizes the system by reducing the required clock count from two to one, allowing use with non-gateable clocks and providing start-stop synchronization.
