Basic Exerciser

This document describes the TC01 Basic Exerciser, a suite of diagnostic routines designed for initial checkout, maintenance, and repair of the TC01 DECtape control and its associated TU55 DECtape transport drives. It covers loading procedures, control switch settings, start-up instructions, and detailed descriptions of testing routines such as Basic Motion, Basic Search, Parity Generation, and various Data Scope loops. It also includes comprehensive error code explanations and recovery procedures.
