ETOS - A Multi-lingual for the PDP8

This document describes the ETOS operating system designed for the PDP8 computer. ETOS is an integrated hardware and software package that supports up to 16 users, providing each with a virtual stand-alone PDP8 environment with 32K of address space. The system addresses the limitations of previous single-user environments (batch and interactive) by implementing multi-user time-sharing with features like sophisticated file security, device independence, real-time application support, and a virtual front panel (SCALE) for debugging and management. The system is designed to be modular and flexible to accommodate future technological growth.
