StorageWorks EZ5x Solid State Disks

This document introduces the StorageWorks EZ5x series of solid state disks, which use DRAM to provide significantly faster data access times compared to traditional rotating magnetic media. Key features include sub-millisecond access times, SCSI-2 industry compatibility, and advanced error correction (ECC) for high reliability. The SSDs feature a unique integrated data retention system that automatically backups data from DRAM to an internal hard disk in the event of power loss. The product is designed to bridge the performance gap between CPUs and I/O subsystems, offering high availability for response-time-critical applications in manufacturing, finance, and healthcare. Specifications for the 107 MB and 428 MB models are provided, alongside supported operating systems.
