PATHWORKS

This document provides step-by-step procedures, flowcharts, and technical notes to assist network administrators in troubleshooting connectivity and configuration issues within PATHWORKS environments. It is organized into parts based on transport protocols:

• DECnet: Includes tools, problem-isolation flowcharts, and specific troubleshooting procedures for VMS, ULTRIX, OS/2, and DOS clients.
• TCP/IP: Covers configuration and troubleshooting tools, problem-isolation flowcharts, and message explanations for VMS, ULTRIX, and DOS environments.
• LAT (Local Area Transport): Describes configuration tools and troubleshooting procedures for services and print queues on VMS, DOS, and OS/2.
• LAST (Local Area System Transport): Provides configuration tools and troubleshooting for disk and file services across different operating systems.
• Appendixes: Contains additional technical information including routing layer events and Ethernet configuration guidelines.

It is intended for network administrators who possess experience with at least one transport protocol but need assistance with others.
