HSC Software

This document describes the features, hardware requirements, and operational characteristics of HSC Software Version 6.5. As an intelligent mass-storage server component, it interfaces host computer systems to mass-storage devices (disk and tape) and handles low-level I/O operations. Major components include Disk, Tape, Cache, and DUP Servers. It supports multiple host connections via Computer Interconnect (CI) for VAXcluster, VMS, and ULTRIX configurations.
