Graphic Display System

This document introduces the GT44 Graphic Display System, a comprehensive hardware and software solution designed for interactive graphics applications. The system is built around a PDP-11/40 central processor, 16K of high-speed core memory, removable disk drives, a DECwriter console, and a 17-inch CRT monitor. Software capabilities include the RT-11 real-time operating system, BASIC-GT for graphics programming, and various utilities for text editing, debugging, and linking. The system supports interactive tasks such as electronic design and simulation, leveraging specialized graphics CALLs for vector drawing, point plotting, and light pen interaction.
