OpenVMS VAX RTL Mathematics

This manual, version 7.3, serves as a comprehensive guide to the mathematics (MTH$) facility of the OpenVMS Run-Time Library on VAX hardware. It is divided into three main sections:

• Part I: MTH$ Tutorial Section: Covers general information including entry point naming, calling conventions, condition handling, and complex number support. It also provides examples of calling these routines from various languages including BASIC, COBOL, Fortran, MACRO, Pascal, PL/I, and Ada.
• Part II: Scalar MTH$ Reference Section: A detailed alphabetical reference for individual scalar mathematics routines.
• Part III: Vector MTH$ Reference Section: Documents the vector-processing capabilities of the MTH$ facility, specifically detailing BLAS Level 1 (Basic Linear Algebra Subroutines) and FOLR (First Order Linear Recurrence) routines.

Additionally, it includes appendixes for rarely used routines and information on vector MTH$ entry points.
