Read Alphanumeric Test Program

This document details the MAINDEC 11 Read Alphanumeric Test, a utility designed to test PDP-1 photo-electric paper tape readers. The test uses a closed loop of tape with an alternating pattern of 377 and 000 octal to identify read malfunctions, such as picking up or dropping bits.
