HP OpenVMS Command Definition, Librarian, and Message Utilities Manual

This document is a technical manual for three core OpenVMS utilities:

• Command Definition Utility (CDU): Explains how to create, modify, and manage DCL (DIGITAL Command Language) command definitions, including parsing and command table management.
• Librarian Utility: Details how to create and maintain libraries (object, macro, help, text, and shareable image) for efficient code and data storage, including instructions for help library creation and retrieval.
• Message Utility: Describes how to supplement OpenVMS system messages with user-defined messages, including construction, compilation, and linking of message object modules.

The manual is structured into three distinct parts, providing command formats, descriptions of utility qualifiers, and examples for each tool, intended for programmers and general system users.
