Common Internet File System (CIFS)

This cover letter announces the release of HP OpenVMS CIFS (Common Internet File System) Version 1.1 ECO1 for OpenVMS Alpha and Integrity servers. The software provides seamless file and print interoperability between OpenVMS and Windows-based clients. Supported platforms include OpenVMS Alpha 8.2 and above, OpenVMS Integrity 8.2-1 and above, and Windows 2008. The software is provided at no additional charge to users with a valid OpenVMS license, while the Samba technology utilized is governed by an open-source license.
