Data Line Scanner for PDP-10

This document provides technical instructions for the S680I program, designed to make a PDP-8/I computer perform the functions of a PDP-10 hardware scanner (such as a 630 DCS or DC10). It covers hardware requirements (minimum PDP-8/I configuration, 680 data communication hardware, and DA10 interface), loading procedures via paper tape in BIN format, initialization, and starting instructions. Additionally, it details PDP-10 programming methods for the DA10/S680I interface, including setting initial conditions, processing interrupts, and data transmission/reception formats. Instructions for assembling the program for different hardware clocks are also included.
