Program for Preparing an Octal Dump of a User File

This document describes DMPFIL, a software tool designed to read files and produce an octal dump representation. It supports various dump types including:

• DECtape dumps (block by block with directory listing)
• Disk file dumps (block by block)
• Save file dumps (as core dumps)
• High segment save file dumps
