LIBPQ for OpenVMS

This document describes the January 2020 release of the LIBPQ PostgreSQL client API for OpenVMS Alpha. LIBPQ provides a C application programmer's interface and includes the ECPG embedded SQL pre-processor and PSQL interactive query tool, based on PostgreSQL 11.0. The guide covers system requirements, installation procedures via PCSI, post-installation steps (including setting up logical names and startup/shutdown routines), recommended privileges and quotas, sample application usage, and notable notes regarding floating-point formats and command-line parsing.
