Souping Parallel Monitor Developments Together

This document describes procedures for managing multiple parallel monitor developments using the SOUP utility. It outlines the requirements for source file sets (father, user-son, and manufacturer-son), sets up directory structures, and provides step-by-step instructions for:

• Restoring source files from FAILSAFE tapes or DECtapes
• Producing and merging correction files (using the USRCOR and MANCOR naming conventions)
• Resolving edit conflicts
• Applying final corrections using the FED utility
• Saving the updated complex to FAILSAFE tapes
