Monitoring Performance History

The Monitoring Performance History (MPH) tool is a voluntary, automated background process designed to collect configuration, error logs, and crash data from customer systems. This data is transmitted to the Digital Product Performance (DPP) group to enhance product reliability and availability. The tool runs with negligible impact on performance or security. The document provides instructions for installation using VMSINSTAL, stopping and deinstalling the software, and details new features in version 1.4, such as improved space management and Internet-based file transport. Support for cluster environments and the Remote Performance Monitoring Software (RPM) is also described.
