DECnet for OpenVMS AXP

DECnet for OpenVMS AXP Version 1.5 allows an OpenVMS AXP system to operate as an end node in a DECnet network, supporting up to 1,023 nodes per area and 63 areas. The product enables task-to-task communication, file management, network command terminals, and network resource sharing using DNA protocols. It supports two license types: End System, for single-node functionality, and Extended Function, which additionally allows a VMScluster to act as a cluster alias router. The software integrates with standard OpenVMS interfaces, allowing programs to perform remote file and record operations transparently. It also includes utilities for network management (NCP), downline system loading, upline dumping, and interaction through MAIL and PHONE utilities.
