PDP-11 BATCH

This user's guide provides instructions on how to use the PDP-11 BATCH operating system. It is organized into four main chapters and five appendices:

• Chapter 1: How to Use BATCH – Explains job preparation, common command language, and operating procedures for operators.
• Chapter 2: BATCH Command Language – Details the complete set of BATCH commands, including syntax and usage examples for system and monitor commands.
• Chapter 3: Input/Output – Discusses standard and "own" input modes, as well as job logs and dumps.
• Chapter 4: BATCH Programming Conventions – Covers requirements for programmers writing or modifying programs for the BATCH environment, including dataset names and error handling.

The appendices provide reference material on peripheral devices like the CR11 card reader and LP11 line printer, multipunch card formats, device assignments, and physical device names.
