Improving UltraSCSI RAID Subsystem Operation

This document serves as an update to the DIGITAL StorageWorks UltraSCSI RAID Enclosure (DS–BA370–Series) User’s Guide, replacing the established procedure for setting temperature sensors. It details the location of three temperature sensors—two on the backplane and one on the EMU—and explains how to configure them using CLI commands. The document highlights the operational range (0°C to 49°C), rules for setting temperatures relative to ambient conditions, and provides a conversion table for Fahrenheit to Celsius. It also includes a warning against setting temperature thresholds too low, which can trigger erroneous subsystem alarms.
