PDP-11 Mainframe Troubleshooting Guide

This document serves as a comprehensive troubleshooting guide for Field Service personnel maintaining PDP-11 systems, specifically those utilizing PDP-11/05/10/35/40/45 CPUs. It is divided into two primary sections:

1. Troubleshooting Flowcharts: Step-by-step diagnostic flows designed to help the technician isolate system failures to specific subsystems (Unibus, power, internal options, memory, or processor) and guide repair based on field-replaceable units.
2. DECAIDs: A collection of highly detailed technical procedures, data, and adjustment instructions that are too specific to memorize and would otherwise be scattered across multiple engineering manuals.

The guide assumes the technician has a sufficient supply of spare parts and that the system has previously been installed and operated successfully. It covers power supply troubleshooting, bus signal analysis, console checkout procedures, module utilization, memory adjustments, and diagnostic loading.
